KINETIC INTERDICTION
NET SYSTEM
KINS
A drone-deployed UHMWPE netting barrier that defeats cruise missiles, loitering munitions, and low-altitude UAS threats through direct physical interdiction — no explosives, no radar lock, zero fragmentation.

THE PROBLEM
A Critical Gap in
Layered Air Defense
Modern adversaries deploy cruise missiles, loitering munitions, and armed UAS at altitudes and ranges that stress existing U.S. Army air defense architectures.
  • High-cost interceptors are unsustainable against mass saturation attacks
  • Kinetic gun systems create fragmentation and collateral damage risk
  • EW and jamming ineffective against GPS-denied, terrain-following threats
  • Directed energy remains developmental and weather-constrained

✓ KINS FILLS THE GAP — REPOSITIONABLE
DEPLOYABLE
The result: a layered defense architecture with a persistent vulnerability — no low-cost, low-collateral, rapidly deployable physical intercept option for threats in the 10–500 meter altitude band.

THE SOLUTION
KINS — Physical Intercept Without Explosives
Two or more heavy-lift multi-rotor UAS platform platforms carry panels of SK78 UHMWPE netting into the projected flight path of an incoming threat. Contact physically entangles or disrupts propulsion, guidance surfaces, or airframe — causing defeat without detonation.
🛸
DEPLOYMENT PLATFORM
Two or more heavy-lift multi-rotor UAS (200kg payload class) commercial heavy-lift UAS platforms. 200kg payload capacity per drone. No proprietary aircraft development required.
COTS PLATFORM // 200KG PAYLOAD // DUAL DRONE
🕸
BARRIER SYSTEM
KINS-160 configuration: 16 panels of 12mm SK78 UHMWPE netting, 10M wide each, forming a 160M wide intercept barrier. 100M panel height.
160M SPAN // 16 PANELS // 100M HEIGHT
FRANGIBLE NETTING
Only the engagement netting is expended. UAS platforms and rigging are preserved, recovered post-intercept, rearmed with fresh netting, and relaunched within minutes.

OPERATIONAL ADVANTAGES
Why KINS vs. Existing C-sUAS Solutions
ZERO COLLATERAL FRAGMENTATION
No explosive warhead. No UXO. ROE-compliant in any environment including homeland defense and populated areas.
LOWEST COST-PER-INTERCEPT
Only the netting is expended. UAS platforms and rigging recovered, rearmed, and relaunched. Fraction of conventional interceptor cost.
NO INFRASTRUCTURE REQUIRED
Phase 1 deploys as a fully standalone system. No existing C-sUAS infrastructure required. Operational from day one.
RAPIDLY REPOSITIONABLE
Two or more UAS platforms redeploy the barrier to any azimuth within minutes of threat cueing. Scalable to multi-drone arrays.
EW-RESISTANT INTERCEPT
Physical barrier effective against threats resistant to electronic warfare, jamming, or GPS-dependent intercept systems.
TERMINAL OPTICAL/THERMAL HOMING
ATH via sensor fusion at 60Hz with Kalman filter tracking. Final intercept refinement independent of external navigation.
